Tips for Packing for a Weekend Getaway for Women

We all can do with a weekend break from everything and getaway to just relax and get ourselves in the game. And while packing for a weekend getaway seems simple and should ideally be fun, it can actually be more stressful especially if you have no idea what to carry and what to leave.

Choose the Right Bag

One of the ways however that you can ensure you pack just the right amount of stuff you will need is by investing in a womens weekender bag.  The right bag will be not too big (bulky packing makes the trip less fun), but not too small (otherwise we’ll be left without our necessities).

Because weekender bags are not suitcases with massive amounts of space, you will be able to limit the amount of things you need to carry. In addition, you don’t want to get charged for extra weight at the airport. In this article, we’ll share with you a few tips that you can have in mind when packing for a simple weekend getaway.

Choose the clothes you will need

Most women tend to get all confused when packing for a getaway or vacation as they basically want to carry almost everything. Remember, if you are somewhere for just two to three days, there is no need bringing half or even a quarter of your wardrobe. Instead, look at your planned itinerary and pack clothes that will be used for the different activities while you are there.

Carry more tops and fewer bottoms

Now, whether you are a skirts lover or a pants lover, you can carry one extra skirt or trouser and several tops that can be matched by either of your bottoms. This way, you don’t need to bring in lots of clothes and can simply mix and match what you have till you leave.

Toiletries

Women will always go around with their bag of toiletries that has the essentials that they need during their stay. However, when you are only gone for two or three days, it doesn’t make sense to bring all your toiletries. Simply choose the toiletries you will need for those few days and pack them in the bag as well.

Electronic devices

Different people use their getaways differently. While others use it to just relax, go sightseeing or lazing around, other try to squeeze in an hour or two of work while others basically spend it reading. That means that there is a need to carry an electronic device such as an iPad or tablet or laptop. However, to lessen your luggage ask yourself whether opting for a tablet or iPad is ideal especially if you won’t be working and will need to read. This way, you can leave behind your laptop and just carry an iPad.

Shoes

While you may have dinner plans especially if you are traveling with friends or your partner, carrying three to four pairs is not ideal for a short trip unless you are 100 percent sure that you will actually wear them. If not, you are better off with less luggage that won’t hurt your back, and that won’t get your charged extra money.
