On Trend Designer Looks for This Season

This season, there are so many different trends that there is sure to be one that you can make work for you; whether you need to dress for the beach, a hot day in the office or a hot date.  From geometric tailoring to grungy tees we round up a selection of the best looks available at the Luxury Arcade.

Cold Shoulders

The cold shoulder look has been around for a few seasons now in various items of women’s clothes.  If you are looking for on trend pieces then this season is all about keeping the neck bare.  Shrugged off coats and dresses are making an appearance and they are the item that every wardrobe needs.

Keeping it plain and simple means you can wear it however you want.  Add a chunky necklace or chandelier earrings and let some glittery pumps peek out from underneath.

We also love the cut-out shoulder look, and this modern take on the halter neck couldn’t be easier to wear.  With a tailored bodice and oversized sleeves it is both feminine and elegant.  Team it with skinny jeans or a full skirt A-line skirt.

Layer it up

Wrap skirts have made a comeback in recent years with the asymmetric wrap but this season it’s all about having fun with layers.  The Jonathan Simkhai’s Bridge Lace Trumpet skirt layers thick lace over a figure hugging underskirt to flatter any figure.  Glam it up with statement jewelry for cocktails or dress it down with an oversized top and flats for a day of sightseeing.

For a more grungy look, Tim Coppen’s Vintage Duffle Cargo Skirt keeps it feminine with the pleated underskirt which softens the harsh geometry of the khaki top layer.

Short and sweet

Cropped tops are back again keeping you cool and on trend.  The Tread Lace Bralet by Jonathan Simkhai includes laser cut embroidery and needs only a pair of black velvet pants to finish the outfit.

Alternatively, why not exude confidence with this grey checked bustier suit by Steve J and Yoni P.  The long skirt and traditional fabric lends an elegant feel whilst the cropped top adds a playful twist.  Ideal for traveling the skirt or bustier could be worn separately with plain black to offer two different looks both of which are bang on trend for this season.

Statement Clutches

We are drooling over this Crushed Ice Clutch which comes either with or without a handle (if you can’t decide why not buy both?).  Made of clear, textured plastic it looks uncannily like a block of ice although it won’t melt even in the height of summer.

Or you could add a bit of fun to your outfit with one of the clutches by the amazing Sarah’s Bag.  We especially like the look of the Waw Beaded Clutch with it’s bright summery colors and mixture of beading and embroidery details.

Off-duty

We all need pieces in our wardrobe that are effortless to wear on those days when you haven’t got anything planned.  Combining fabrics is another key trend this season and these band tees with denim sleeves are not only trendy but oh so easy to wear.

Another easy to wear trend is the continuing trend for ripped detailing.  Mixing velvet with ripped denim in these tuxedo style jeans gives you an easy to wear partner that keeps the mixed fabrics trend going.  And if you suddenly do have plans you can easily add heels and a smart top.

Whatever your favourite look, wear it with confidence this season and you’re sure to look fabulous all summer long.
