Clogged pores

Clogged pores are a clear sign that your skin is producing excess sebum. Basically, it is trying to make it up for the lost moisture due to using aggressive cleansing products. It can also mean you don’t clean your face twice a day, or don’t take off your makeup properly.

To solve this, you can get a lighter moisturizer or a gentle cleansing product. If you wear makeup, make sure to remove it and wash your face with an oily or foamy facial cleanser. Don’t leave any residues behind that could clog the pores.

Too much oil

Is your face too oily? This can be a result of too much exfoliation or a lack of hydration. Make sure that you use a light moisturizer that won’t grease your skin. Also, keep the exfoliation to 2 times per week.

Dry and flaky skin

If your skin is excessively dry, try to use an oily cleanser. Switch your moisturizer for one with a richer formula. Also, forget about toners and any other products that contain alcohol. They will dry the skin and leave it flaky.

Change of season

No skincare routine is made to last for the whole year. You will need to change your products, as the seasons change. The chilly weather will dry your skin, so make sure that you use a rich day cream. During summer, you will need a cream with SPF.
